Full of Smiles

This is my cousin's new baby Jack. He was such a sweet little baby. He kept smiling over and over again during his session so I believe he's going to be such a happy little guy as he grows up. Here's a sneak peek for you Josh and LeeAnn. Enjoy!

A Time to Celebrate

I had the amazing opportunity to photograph this sweet angel the other day. She just makes me smile. Most of you know that I am a member of Celebrating Adoption which is an organization of photographers that donate their time and proofs to new adoptive families. Well, this is one of my recent sessions. This sweet baby girl is from Guatemala and her parents and her big brother are just in awe of her--as was I. She just has this quiet demeanor that makes your heart melt just looking at her. To the Newcomers -thank you for allowing me to photograph your beautiful baby girl.

A Moment

Friday night I had one of those moments that I've only dreamed about-until now. I have my work in the mall!! "Squeal!!" And to make it even sweeter my best friends helped me put up the display late Friday evening. We had so much fun and looked hilarious I'm sure with our hammers and our drills walking through Macy's. I know its probably not the largest accomplishment of a life--but this is big for me. One of my favorite quotes is "I am Here to LIVE OUT LOUD." That's simply me. I am always wanting to go big--to live life to its fullest and not worry about all the small stuff. I am living my dream and seeing my work in the mall --well, it makes my world a little brighter. So go check out the display. It should be completely done Monday or Tuesday of this week. And thank you to everyone who made this possible, including all my adorable sweet clients who make my life and my job so worth it!

Brandy's Trip to Guatemala

Hi all! I wanted to take a minute to say thank you to everyone who prayed for me and the rest of the mission team who served in Guatemala in March. It really means a lot to know that so many of you had us in your thoughts and prayers.

We had an absolutely amazing time! We all stayed and served at New Life Children's Home in Guatemala -www.nlch.net. There are 52 children who live at the home and 400 who attend school there. We did a lot of various projects at the home and school including painting, planting, cleaning, sewing, and building desks. We also spent a lot of time with the children doing devotional activities, playing UNO, talking, and even painting each others finger nails. We even spent one day site-seeing in Antigua. I took a LOT of photos while I was there- Carrie has trained me well!

Meet my girls

Hey everyone! I wanted to formally introduce you to our team here at Photography by Carrie. We have such an amazing group here that I finally got them all together to do a photoshoot. Most of you know me--I'm the kinda blond one there on the left, then there's my beautiful wedding assistant and co-editor Ashley. Ashley loves sour worms and anything with sugar on it. She also gets flowers sent to her a whole lot more than me. Anyway, next to Ashley is a woman I could NEVER live without, our very own Brandy! Brandy is our studio manager and she takes care of everything --including me. She also gets flowers delivered to her a whole lot more than I do. Next to her is our little asian sensation Jenny! Jenny takes care of all the ordering, sorting, email stuff, etc. etc. etc. Jenny is a smart cookie who likes to run --like me. She is also a very talented musician so if you need someone to play at your wedding -she is for hire. Next to Jenny is the newest member of our team Cassie! Cassie is our graphic designer. She is still in the sweet phase--just wait till she's been here a while. Kidding--Cassie we are honored to have you as part of our team! I'm so lucky to have such a great group here. Thank you all for being here every day and for doing such an incredible job. I appreciate each one of you in more ways than you will ever know. You keep me sane, you amaze me and you make life here at the studio even more fun than it already is. Thank you!

What happens in Vegas...

can be photoshopped! I had to use the infamous line from our Vegas convention. Photographer humor at its best I'm sure. I'm still smiling from the incredible trip I took to Vegas. I had to post a few more. Thanks Ruby for allowing me to share some of your pics on my blog!

Happy Birthday!

My youngest turned 4 this past week and he had his friends over last night to celebrate. Here's Alec. Its sad to see him grow up so fast and yet it was so much fun to see him having a blast with his friends. Happy Birthday AJ.
