The Windy City

Wow, once again I have come home from a trip to Chicago in such childlike awe and adoration. The city simply speaks to me. Some may think I'm crazy to love the hustle and bustle of the mix of rushing people and yellow taxi cabs but for some reason I do. Maybe I love Chicago because of the beautiful architecture of its mysteriously tall buildings and artsy parks. Maybe I love it because of its amazing shopping on famed Michigan Avenue. Maybe I love Chicago because I love the people whom I have had the chance to meet there---including one of my bestest friends in the world--I don't have to say your name because you know who you are. I don't know what it is but I know it doesn't matter. I was in Chi-town this past week for my gorgeous cousin's engagement party. She is getting married to one of the nicest people I have ever met---Todd. As most of you know I don't have any biological siblings but in reality my cousins, Sarah and Lori are my sisters. They are truly two of the most real people I know and besides that, I can count on them for absolutely anything. So maybe I love Chicago because some of my family is there and part of my heart resides there with them. In addition to getting to see my cousins-I got to attend a photography workshop with the famous Sam Puc'. I adore her and have admired her work for many years. I have listened to Sam speak 4 times now and my ears never get tired of her speeches. So maybe I love Chicago because of the many opportunities it has offered to me over the years. Its opened my eyes and my soul to the world and I could not be more thankful. Here are some photos from my week away that make me smile and that is simply what life is all about--taking the time to cherish those moments with those you love. So here's to Chicago---until we meet again...

Independence Day Limited Edition Special!

To celebrate Independence Day we will be having a one of a kind special! This special will take place on Thursday, July 3rd, 2008 in the studio. Your collection will include; 20 minute session for your child, (2) 5x7, (4) 4x6 and 8 wallets all for $76. Tax will be added. We will begin booking for these sessions on Monday June 9th. Little Man

As we all know our kids grow up way too fast. Before you know it, they are grown with their own lives and interests. I took Brandy's little guy, Parker, downtown a couple days ago and my goal was to simply capture that sweet innocent little boy spirit. Before long, he's going to be a little man. Brandy, Parker is such a joy--I love to photograph him. Enjoy!

Furr-Baby Love

Okay anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE LOVE me a sweet little furr-baby. And so when Krystal brought in her little doggie my heart began to melt. This sweet furr baby has inspired a promotion set for August to benefit the Humane Society of Cape Girardeau so be watching for details on this new fundraising project. But for now here is Miss Sammi Ann and her beautiful human Krystal.
